#FranksFight

Testicular Cancer Awareness

Frank and I went to bring our son Cory to Wheaton College for the summer in June of 2011. This is a picture that was taken. What we did not know then was that in two days our lives would forever change,

On June 29, 2011 Frank was told "I think you have CANCER by an Er doc"

My heart sank and we just looked at each other knowing this was not good. He would be admitted to the hospital and then seen by an oncologist.

Through a biopsy it was confirmed Frank had testicular cancer Stage IIIC

As of August 2013 Frank had been told he is TERMINAL and the only thing the doctor's have to offer is chemotherapy. This would not be for a cure however it would just be to lengthen his life and so far it is making him worse. Frank is weak and now has a portable pain pump to manage his pain. 39 years old and he has to comes to terms with dying. On October 18, 2013 this disease took Frank's life. He fought till the very last second. He was an amazing wonderful husband and father who had his life shortened by something that could have been avoided through early diagnosis. Frank wanted #FranksFight to continue and so its new mission is spreading awareness. I will continue to share Frank's story and spread awareness in hopes of saving just one life.
